According to reports, Guohua Investment's 1 million kilowatt offshore photovoltaic project in Kenli, Shandong is the largest open sea offshore photovoltaic project in China, with a sea area of about 1223 hectares. It is the first to use 66 kV submarine and land cable long-distance transmission technology, with larger transmission capacity and lower cost.
The project is located 8 kilometers offshore from Dongying, Shandong. The first batch of 300 photovoltaic platforms that have been built are divided into 5 rows and extended towards the open sea. Each platform is 60 meters long and 35 meters wide. When the entire project is completed, 2934 photovoltaic platforms need to be installed.
According to Wang Lin, the person in charge of the Shandong Kenli project invested by Guohua Investment of the National Energy Group, after the project is fully connected to the grid, it is expected to generate 1.78 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually, which can meet the electricity consumption of 2.67 million ordinary Chinese urban residents for one year, effectively saving 503800 tons of standard coal and reducing 1.3447 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
